speaking of dictators: although the winners re-wrote history, FDR had a dismal confidence rating. some forty one percent of the public were actually afraid he’d become a dictator.
of course, we all know better: he was the savior! while the rest of the world endured only three years of a depression, he launched us into a full ten! whoopee! we have so much to look forward to.
