It’s too bad it couldn’t melt DIRECTLY after the holidays, sigh.

Actually, around here it does do that. Chances are if it is a White Christmas it is a clear New Years.
We are very much a coastal climate here, despite the Olympic mountain range and the cold air our pesky Canadian neighbors to the north send us.
Once every ten years it just dumps snow. Then I have to drive around rescuing my friends who have AWD cars, as their cars are not heavy enough to push through the snow.
