2000 hits
It seems like just last month I was posting on my 1000 blog hit. Oh wait, I was! Wow!
Summary
WordPress.com remains an excellent blog system. I do miss some of the nifty Blogger features, namely, the Follower/Minion/Cultist function. In many other aspects I find it superior.
I post consistently day-in and day-out. Yes, I cheat by queuing up posts. It’s all good. There is a 99% chance that if you come to my blog once a day, you will find new content from The Hack Writer.
This blog is still rated PG-13.
Trivia: Did you know in the UK a “hackette” is a word that is really used?

The WTF do people keep clicking post
Post I keep trying to make but failing
September 1 badness. I just can’t do it. Maybe next year.
Lessons Learned
- Most of my readers are female. Is this good? Is this bad? I do not know. It is scary.
- My tags are messed up. I have not been tagging my novels (going back and doing this will hurt)
- My no-politics rule has served me well
- According to WordPress, I am THE expert in kissing girls!
- I love you 8.3 blog readers!

I’m proud of my recent but significant contribution to your 2000. Obsessive blog checker? Me??
Anyway. I love your search engine breakdown. Gives me an idea for a future post–rock on.
Here’s to the next 2000, right?

Kiersten (hearts) you (platonically) right back.
Oh, sweet, you just gave me ANOTHER idea for a blog post. Really, you’re downright inspirational.

We have one life worth living that we know about. Do we spend this life in insular censure of those we know based on those that we do not?
Or do we spend the time that we have, with the people that matter?
If I were gone tomorrow, who would remember my love?
If I were gone tomorrow, would anybody spend hard-earned tears on me?
If I were gone tomorrow, would I get a smile in remembrance?
Love takes many forms.
But sometimes
the love of knowing
is the greatest love of them all.

wordpress.com IS nice. Pretty hassle-free and it does give you an instant audience. Tempted to use it myself, but I am just too much a geek and thus want to run my own servers.
There’s nothing wrong with scheduling posts. I do it all the time.
No-politics rules are also good. Essential, even, if you target an American audience. I wish I could stick to such a rule, myself. For my world-building blog it’ll be easy (I’ll just sneak stuff into the worlds I build) but I am a grumpy old man with an opinion. What can I do but express it?
Weblogs are the 21st Century version of angry letters to the editor.
